    Why Our Services were required

The Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) is a Small Island Developing State which faces several development challenges, including small land area, limited resources, remoteness, and vulnerability to natural disasters and external shocks.

    Solutions

RMI entered into an agreement with the World Bank to implement the Pacific Resilience Project – Phase II (PREP II). The Objective of the Project in the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) is to strengthen early warning sys-tems, climate resilient investments in shoreline protection, and to provide immediate and effective response to an Eligible Crisis or Emergency. Communities exposed to erosion, storm surges, king tides, and sea level rise, will benefit from the project through reduced risk of damage to infrastructure in the coastal zone.
